Oct1 8 Seconds Above Muir Woods

I’ve recently been experimenting more with long exposures: some in cities, some in nature. This particaular photo, taken on Saturday evening at midnight, is shot from above Muir Woods, Calif., as a deep lake of fog silently crept up the side of the mountain. It felt like it was silently gorging on the trees as it moved. This was taken with a Leica M9-P, 28mm lens and an 8-second exposure.

    I love Muir woods. Went there for the first time this summer for my birthday. Purty!

    Beautiful. I cannot believe that this picture is taken at midnight. Yet I can see the stars clearly. I see what you mean with the clouds, it gives you that… feeling that ominous feeling you get from a Dean Koontz or Stephen King book.
